Whether you’ve been a rock jock for years or will be trying on climbing shoes for the first time, this vertical venture is just the right pitch. In partnership with our expert climbing friends at Onsight Activity Center, EE has selected three rock faces, all offering multiple routes of various difficulties, ideal for ropes or bouldering enthusiasts of any experience level. Bring your own gear if you like, but all necessary equipment and know-how are already here.

We know safety is a serious concern for you – don’t worry, it’s at the top of our spire too! Before hanging around outside, you’ll be assessed by Onsight instructors while you’re testing your grip strength on their bouldering gym walls. When you become attached to their instructors and ask them to join you in the great outdoors, don’t worry. We’ve already arranged for them to come along too.

You’ll also have plenty of time to meet locals at a cultural exchange dinner before upping your altitude. These locals may not agree to climb rock faces with you, but they are eager to display their time-honored traditions of hospitality and respect to you. If they mention the big rock in their backyard, then that’s Mount Elbrus – the highest peak in Europe. It’ll be our last stop, but you’ll need to take our Extreme Elbrus tour if you want to climb it too.
